The Best Christmas Ever

Well I was sick all weekend and just thought that I had a little of the flu bug. So when me and Kevin were at Costco on Monday, we decided to buy some pregnancy tests because I thought that my favorite friend that wears red should have arrived by now. So the test says to take it first thing in the morning, so we woke up around 6:45 Christmas morning (to go to Cedar) and Kevin goes and gets me a stick and I am still asleep while taking this and I said "it's probably just negative again" and Kevin is all "oh really" and he shows it to me and it has 2 lines!!!! Not just one for the not pregnant but 2 for the "you better believe that you are pregnant". So today we went to LabCorp and had my blood drawn just to be certain and IT'S POSITIVE!!!! We are so excited and can't hardly believe it. Talk about a good birthday present for Kevin today!! Anyway so keep us in your prayers as being a diabetic and being pregnant is not the easiest thing in the world. Well I am just glowing now and I need to go make some more phone calls..... MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Family picture time

So I know most of you think that it is hard to take a good picture with kids cause they won't sit still.... well try 2 dogs with ADHD! After about 30 pictures we finally got them to actually look at the camera... well Kodi is looking and Roxi is looking semi at the camera. It was actually pretty funny to try and take these.... can't wait until we get to add kids in the pictures also.... It will be a swell time!

OH "cardboard" Christmas tree......

So alot of people have given me and Kevin grief for not putting up a Christmas tree. FIRST off..... neither of us really care to much about the holiday, it's just another day out of the year. SECOND, we are moving in just over a month and didn't want to deal with it. SO..... being the creative little buggers we are we decided today that we will cut a tree out of the big cardboard box that we received the treadmill in and then poke holes in it and shove some lights through them. So after a few hours of poking holes and fingers numb our tree has 1200 lights on it! That's right people 100 lights!!!! KA-CHOW!!!! So now we are not the grinch's like everyone thinks.... and BTW we have stockings hung up for me, Kevin, Kodi, Roxi, Bam & Em. And I have my Mary & Joseph out on the fireplace mantel also. So there you go. I don't want to hear anyone else complain that we don't have a Christmas tree up because we do and it freakin' rocks!!!

Recovery time

Well now that we have all stuffed ourselves to "fat dogs", let's review the weekend.
First off, let's start with the story of the dog we delivered. My friend Brandon's friend Greg who brought the dog arrived at 2 am Thursday morning. We were so stinkin' tired when they got here and the "medium size dog" turned out to be massive. So we try to go to bed and lock all 3 dogs in the room with us and Jesse cried and whined all night long. SO... I went into the other room and sat up until 4:30 nearly in tears from being so tired and stressed with her to try and make her happy. Then I went to get Kevin up because I was so upset and he went and took her into the other room and slept with her until7 and let me get a little shut eye myself. So needless to say by the time that we actually got to eat dinner in Cedar we were both exhausted. So we had a nice dinner with Kevin's dad and step-mom Robyn. Then we began our journey northbound. We got to my parents around 10 and neither of us could hardly keep our eyes open.
Then I couldn't sleep because I didn't take my sleeping pills early enough and had to be at 3:30 for shopping... but with the adrenaline rushing I lasted all morning and me and my sister are freaking comedians when we are both dead tired. So we hit Mervyn's at 4, Walmart at 5 and Target at 6...... and YES we came home with everything that we went for. AND then while standing in line at Target I hear someone say my name and I look over and it was MO!!!! I was so excited and totally couldn't wait for her party. Then we went home and had a little rest and then went back out again. I know we are crazy!
So then Saturday rolls around and my family always likes to go to dinner when we are in town but this time we decided to go to breakfast. The only bad thing was that my sister in law had to be to work by 9, which meant we had to be up and to breakfast by 7:30!! So we all go and stuff ourselves again with breakfast and then head off to the stores again. So time comes to go to MO's high school reunion party and sadly I had to text her cause I don't do phone calls and let her know that I wasn't going to be able to make it! Dang it!! The one thing that I was SO looking forward to and I had to cancel. So sorry MO! But hopefully we will be going to Oregon in the next little bit and we definitely will be hanging out.
Anyway and then yesterday me and Kevin went to Tremonton to get my hair cut by Povey's wife and she is totally awesome. OH and I love my hair! Major change but I totally like it. Then we all went to lunch to her parent's restaurant and had a little time to catch up. So if you are ever in Tremonton you need to go to "The Pie Dump" and eat some fabulous grub. *that is my little plug for the restaurant*
Anyway so we are now back to warmer weather and the one good thing is that we have almost everyone's Christmas presents bought! YAY for us!

It's Turkey Time

Well Thanksgiving is probably both me and Kevin's favorite holiday.... we were engaged on Thanksgiving in 2003. But this year is going to be a little crazier than most. We usually spend it up north with both my family and Kevin's mom, but this year we are going to eat "early dinner" in Cedar with Kevin's dad and step-mom, and then leave to Ogden so that I can do the "black friday" shopping with my sister, it's a tradition and I can't break tradition. Then we will stay until Monday this year and come home.... oh yeah I am doing a major hair change on Monday so I will post some new pictures.
Another crazy thing is that we are going to be traveling with 3 (count them 3) dogs, 4 sugargliders, 2 which were just born 2- two weeks ago and a partridge in a pear tree. We are delivering my friends new dog to him on Thursday night so that is going to be interesting because Kodi is going to give me the silent treatment all weekend long. He will spend the whole weekend being grandma nae and Pa's doggy to just show me.
Anyway I guess we should say something that we are thankful for on here also..... um I am thankful for Kevin because I don't think, ok I know that I wouldn't be doing so well with my Diabetes without him.... and I KNOW he is thankful for me!!!! (He just might not know it yet).
Unlike Katie's family, I don't think that we will have anyone cry, but I am sure that there might be a little argument that occurs, in fact I know there will, but all in all my family is pretty crazy and WATCH OUT YOU FRIDAY MORNING SHOPPERS..... me, mom and the sister are the crazy chicks that leave the house by 3, hit every store on our list, get everything that we wanted and be home by 9 for the nap. Then usually back out later that day. We are crazy I know but it's tradition!
HAPPY TURKEY DAY!

Here we are....

So I guess this is where we will start. Thanks to Katie and MO, I guess we will get wrapped up in the world of blogging.
The first reason that we will do this is to keep everyone updated on our lives.... since we are trying to get prego and trying to adopt and then as soon as we get us a house up north we hope to fost-adopt. (which is foster-adoption for you who aren't up to speed)
We are moving home on January 19th 2008 and I can't wait!!! We have a lot of "aunt and uncle" time that we need to catch up on.... and many of our friends have kids who don't even know us so we need to do some major bonding so they like us..... this mainly pertains to Katie's little girl Abby, Kinley is coming around but it will take some work with Abby.
When we move back I am hoping to be a stay at home wife/mommy and be able to do Medical Transcription (if I ever get my schooling finished), and Kevin is leaning towards the Police Academy. He has always wanted to be a cop and was actually accepted into the Highway Patrol Academy before but since my health was declining and the class was in SLC for 17 weeks, he didn't want to leave me.
Well, I think that this is a good start, and if I can remember my login and password again I will try to update this, and maybe get some pictures on here also.
Anyway take care fellow bloggers!!!
